Job and Signature States

Simscope tracks Signatures and Jobs in 3 Active states, and 3 Resolved states.

• States are mostly used in the context of Rules and Manual Assignments.

State Progression

The normal progression is to triage from New to Fixed.

Active States

• New — This is the default state for incoming jobs.
• Assigned — Job has an assignee.
• Open — Job has an Issue assigned (Bug/Tag).

Resolved States

• Fixed — indicates the bug has been fixed, on a specific branch, with a specific changeset number
• Wontfix — indicates a real issue, but will not be fixed on this version of silicon
• Ignore — for example, 'pass' jobs or tanked jobs.

Updating job states

Jobs can be updated manually, or can be repeated for all matching future jobs, via Rules.
